Amanda is an award-winning writer, former print news reporter and editor who penned her first short story for Mrs. Williams’ sixth-grade history class. Encouraged by her favorite teachers and her loudest cheerleader, also known as Mom, Amanda went on to graduate from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa with a degree in journalism. She worked in the newspaper business as a political reporter until 2010, the year print officially died.
